joeyg2391 Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Hi i'm trying to do a silent install of itunes 4.7 but the previous post don't work. I also want to do diskeeper 9.0.exe. Could anyone please show me the code on how to do these two. Thanks
rendrag Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 diskeeper has definetly been talked about... you have to run the exe, and in your temp directory will be a randomly numbered .MSI file. you can then use the /qb, or /qnas for itunes, i'm not sure
joeyg2391 Posted December 7, 2004 Author Posted December 7, 2004 thanks for the diskeeper silent install. I noticed that itunes 4.7 does create an msi. But when i double click on it it says it needs a setup.exe file. is there something i can do. I was thinking of puting the itunes setup.exe file with the msi i found. i think this will work. if it does then how do i do the switches. Thanks
tap52384 Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 i have also tried an silent installation of itunes and failed; i have even used the help switch (/?) and it displayed what to use (/s /v/qn), but for some reason it still would not silently install. I also can validate that grabbing the extracted msi (and even all the included files in the temp folder) still did not lead to an immediate solution.
