Windows ME Problems with Shutdown

Recommended Posts

I am having problems shutting down my computer which runs in Windows ME 4.90.3000. Although I think all programmes are shut down, when I click 'Start', 'Shutdown' the screen either freezes or I have to 'end task' several times. I sometimes have to 'restart' three times before it will finally shutdown. Any suggestions?

Visit my site Tech support for a clean, efficient system version 2 and follow the instructions. That should help remove any potential malware in your PC.

And then ensure that you have the latest patches/updates installed, and new versions of IE6SP1, DirectX9c, etc.

If nothing else, a clean re-install will get rid of junk that has built up over the months.

Its times like these, where I recall this quote:

The shutdown command is not so anymore....  its rather like a request - it might, it might not!

Haha, you haven't seen my site then have you? Windows Update is the last step. ;D

Sidenote: Currently resolving issue with buttons not working in IE6. :\
