Access is denied when trying to delete a folder. How can I fix this?

try right clicking on the folder...now if it is a shared folder...it may not let you do it...when you right click ...click properties...and take off archiving...as well as a share if it has one...

also, the folder or a file within the folder may be in use. sometimes explorer (not IE Explorer) may be open and that causes the message. close explorer and reopen or change directories. a slow cpu or over taxed system may take a few seconds to responde.

If that doesnt work, boot into safe mode and you'll be able to delete all you want (besides some of the windows files)
