Lost Soul Posted November 28, 2004 Share Posted November 28, 2004 ok heres my question, first off i dont have dsl but a friend of mine is thinking about getting it and he asked me a question and i really couldnt answer it,, btw im running cable my self.well the question was can you run a regular phone line into a dsl box from your phone company and it still work ? i told him im not sure but i think he would need a heftyer phone line cable,, but im not sure,, so this is where you guys come in,, can some one tell me the answer to this one ?thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

DSL uses the same copper pair and analogue tech as the phone system. except fibre or cable phones though.Here in the UK - we have to have a BT line to run our broadband - but the phone works as well for voice.
