DVD-Burner chance to chance to master

I have the problem with my DVD-Burner (Nec-1100A) that it doesn't want to burn my DVD's without errors

The DVD-Burner is the slave of my second IDE-port, so from NEC i got the advice to chance the DVD-Burner to make it the Master of the second IDE-port ( DVD-Player is now Master).

So i replaced the pins of my DVD-Player to make that the slave and chanced the pin of my DVD-Burner to make it the Master. easy i thought

Now i end up with the problem, that when i try to start up windows, it starts up into the windows but as soon as it's almost done startingup and start to make clear it found a new DVD-Rom and after that a DVD-Burner it restarts and keep on doing that over and over

Is there anyway i can prevent this or make it work so i don't have to install everything all over, cause i know that if you make to big of hard ware chances that you have to install windows all over again.

But i believe this is a not to big of hardware chance though
