I have already installed it successfully twice before but on this occasion it said it could not find APPS.INF in the INF directory. I searched and APPS.INF was in fact there.And also I don't know if there is any connection but I've lately been getting a lot of messages like 'XXX caused a fault in COMMCTRL.DLL' Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Are succesful and unsuccesful systems different?However, COMMCTRL.DLL error can occur if the COMMCTRL.DLL file is missing or damaged. Try to replace it with original (more info).
