COMMCTRL.DLL and APPS.INF acting up!

Featured Replies

I don't know if this is a problem with SP2Beta2 or not. I have already installed it successfully twice before but on this occasion it said it could not find APPS.INF in the INF directory. I searched and APPS.INF was in fact there.

And also I don't know if there is any connection but I've lately been getting a lot of messages like 'XXX caused a fault in COMMCTRL.DLL'

APPS.INF error is interesting. I don't have any idea for its reason. Are succesful and unsuccesful systems different?

However, COMMCTRL.DLL error can occur if the COMMCTRL.DLL file is missing or damaged. Try to replace it with original (more info).
