harriey Posted September 30, 2002 Posted September 30, 2002 If I have 3 or 4 windows open in I.E. my screen will freeze. I have to open device manager and close any of the programs that are not running. I think X.P. should be able to run 4 programs at a time. Any thoughts?

gamehead200 Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 Harriey, try reinstalling XP, but DON'T FORMAT, just REINSTALL! That should probably solve your problem ! I have the same processor at the same speed with the same OS and I don't have problems!
redvamp128 Posted October 3, 2002 Posted October 3, 2002 Yes well believe it or not..but xp will run off of 64mb of memory ....and if he is running 64mb then this is to be expected...and a change in the pagefile solves this problem...also it could be a bios setting now come to think of it...he may have to change from 4 way associative to...2 way associative...Or maybe he installed SP1...Some of the Beta's were FAKES...So we need to find the Whole Story...first....
