If I have 3 or 4 windows open in I.E. my screen will freeze. I have to open device manager and close any of the programs that are not running. I think X.P. should be able to run 4 programs at a time. Any thoughts?


Harriey, try reinstalling XP, but DON'T FORMAT, just REINSTALL! That should probably solve your problem :rolleyes: ! I have the same processor at the same speed with the same OS and I don't have problems! :)

Yes well believe it or not..but xp will run off of 64mb of memory ....and if he is running 64mb then this is to be expected...and a change in the pagefile solves this problem...also it could be a bios setting now come to think of it...he may have to change from 4 way associative to...2 way associative...Or maybe he installed SP1...Some of the Beta's were FAKES...So we need to find the Whole Story...first....
