Yes.

I don't add IE, Media Player, DirectX and their updates into the SP, so if you use any of them, you should check WindowsUpdate after installing the SP.

The SP contains all critical updates for windows98se released till the date it was created, but not any updates for IE, windows media player, mdac etc. which you should update at www.windowsupdate.com

Anyway Gape should probably confirm on that.

The way I do it - install SP on a clean install of windows, and after that use windows update unless a newer SP contains a patch or tweak I cant apply manually Eagerly awaiting 2.0 final!

Q. but this updates not appears in system information like when we update it downloaded from ms network it shows all patch and update in sysinfo section softwares updates service pack win98se then displayes all updates and patch etc.

SP registers only necessary WindowsUpdate information. It doesn't register QFE information. So you can't see all installed updates on some tools.

Sorry, it's difficult to create a reliable QFE information with my installing method (single INF - single EXE for all updates).

I'm from Delhi, India. Anyways, this is getting offtopic as I really have nothing more to add about sysinfo here ... actually I never knew it listed updates. Maybe it lists updates downloaded from windows update, and not those externally installed?
