maxXPsoft Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 (edited) When you click it this is all that it changes, oh sure it writes to HKEY_USERS\PID but I don't save all that since I'm using in an unattended. When you log off it save's to YourProfile\ntuser.dat which is same as HKEY_USERS\PID.Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]"UserPreferencesMask"=hex:98,12,03,80,[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics]"MinAnimate"="0"[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer]"ShellState"=hex:24,00,00,00,37,a8,01,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,01,00,00,00,0d,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,02,00,00,00,[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]"WebView"=dword:00000001[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]"ListviewWatermark"=dword:00000000[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]"TaskbarAnimations"=dword:00000000[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VisualEffects]"VisualFXSetting"=dword:00000003Make sure this is pasted into an actual export from your registry to get the unicode effect. Kheldar Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 tryHKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VisualEffects\VisualFXSetting registry subkey. The default value of 0 is Let Windows choose what's best for my computer. Change the value to 1 for Adjust for best appearance or 2 for Adjust for best performance.
