November 10, 200421 yr Welcome to MSFN, [VII] !Somehow, most likely through a registry setting, you have disabled 8.3 file name creation. This is often done to "speed up" disk access. However, XPCREATE needs it. I forget the registry setting, but it is something that YOU have done, as Windows allows 8.3 file name creation by default.
November 10, 200421 yr HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystemNtfsDisable8dot3NameCreationThis should be set to 0.
