I'm trying to make my first unattenended install XP cd and cannot find a switch for Style XP. I tried searching the forums and couldn't find anything.

Anyone have any ideas or know how I could figure it out?

instead of paying for a piece of software like that POS...

use a hacked UXtheme.dll file. That's pretty much all StyleXP does. It replaces UXtheme.dll in memory. Just download the hacked UXtheme.dll file from the unattended.msfn.org website (under hacked files) and replace the file in I386 with it.

Who said anything about me paying for it? ;) I like it because the later versions have a bunch of features like transparency and it takes all the work out of switching bootscreens n'junk. And it doesn't take up any resources which is a definite plus.

I'll definitely look into the UXtheme.dll though. It sounds a lot easier than trying to find this switch. :D

hmm treading dangerous ground...warez and such are not to be discussed here and probably not even hinted at.

This site gets a lot of traffic thus its watched...to give you an idea how much...I was at a Small System Builders thing here in the Seattle area held by Microsoft, and while shooting the s*** with a guy I happened to mention this site as a wealth of information and idea's. Low and behold the guy actually knew about the site.

Oh any one from MS reading this. Thanks for the server packages and the new media edition. :) wOOt Scorage ;)

Really if MS has any thing going in your area at any given time...go to it..it was fun and very informative...tho could have been two hours shorter. ;) Plus walking away with a hand full of goodies was worth ones time if any thing else.

Okay... so how's about for the people that DID pay for that POS software? I'm interested in trying to find this out as well.

so search....

it's a NSIS installer i think, that means /S

then you have to taskkill something I believe. if the /S doesn't work, try /silent
