ner Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 Hi, I am looking for a way to copy all my cd's to a dvd and install all my programs from one dvd. I have created a root folder and have tried to copy each cd accross to a new folder for each cd, but not all of the files are copied over. Therefore I am looking for a way to copy each cd into a new folder, then when i need to install my prgrams i can run from each folder instead of changing cd after cd....I would also like to have a autoloading menu...say 1: Office 2003 Disk 12: Office 2003 Disk 23: Autorouteetc etc..I have searched the site but can only find info on bootable dvd's i would very much appriciate so help on this.....
htc Posted November 5, 2004 Posted November 5, 2004 please note that this forum is for "Multiboot-CD/DVD", not for "AIO"(all-in-one)-CD/DVD. But als IT-Expert I can give you some tips, anyway:1. Install the free util "DaemonTools"2. use the util "UltraISO" to create iso image files of your favourite cds3. burn the image files (and daemontools) on DVD/DL-DVD4. use DaemonTools to load/change the image files on DVD if required.
ner Posted November 6, 2004 Author Posted November 6, 2004 @htcThanks for your comments, however i have not used DaemonTools before, could you advise futher?
htc Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 the usage is very simple - no advice needed I think.
ner Posted November 6, 2004 Author Posted November 6, 2004 Thanks I have found the program, and you are correct its usy to use, but i do have a queston. Can i run the program from a dvd, without installing it under windows??
htc Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 the tool must be installed to your windows.the iso image file can be leave on the dvd.
