a06lp Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 Hi,I have my daemon tools silently installing, using the following code:...dt.msi /qb REBOOT=Suppressis there anyway to have, by default, the options of Automount, and Autostart BOTH unchecked???
a06lp Posted November 3, 2004 Author Posted November 3, 2004 could you be a little more specifc? which keys am i looking at?
a06lp Posted November 3, 2004 Author Posted November 3, 2004 anyone know which reg keys control this?or another way to change these default options?
Whampoom Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 (edited) See if this one works , its for Daemon 3.47 ://Removed// Edited November 4, 2004 by Whampoom
a06lp Posted November 3, 2004 Author Posted November 3, 2004 this seems to remove autostart (but leaves on automount).automount only applies once daemon tools starts, right?
MCT Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 look in the thread titled "Daemon Tools Optimized" by me, in there ive posted a way 2 enable/disable automount via registry
a06lp Posted November 4, 2004 Author Posted November 4, 2004 i'm not sure, but i THINK it loads a certain Image on daemon tools startup.can anyone confirm this?
MCT Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 thats kinda correct..it loads a certain image when windows starts.. since its an ISO windows doesnt read it after restart (cuz it gets "Erased" from memory) without better way of explaining it this just tells windows 2 load that image everytime it starts up
DigeratiPrime Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 cool, makes sense. I would guess if you had automount on and several virtual drives loaded, it would still emulate all the image files. Good to Know.
a06lp Posted November 4, 2004 Author Posted November 4, 2004 See if this one works , its for Daemon 3.47 :hmm..I'm not sure what the cause, but I think it may be this .reg file. When I left-click DT now, I don't get the mounting options...can anyone else test this .reg file (from page 1) to see if they have the problem too?and how do i fix this?
Whampoom Posted November 4, 2004 Posted November 4, 2004 well I guess the ...[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\d347prt\Cfg]..key is the problem , might change depending on number of physical drives anddrive letter , but I got it working for me , its a little bit longer then the first tweak .
