busterh
Hi...I've been searching for this, but not sure what I"m doing wrong.I've tried with both nLIte and with CDImage and no matter what I do, I cannot generate a bootable DVD. The data writes to the DVD without a problem and I can read it under Windows, but trying to boot, it just hangs.Since it is almost 4GB, I can't use Virtual PC to test it.Anyone have any clues, directions, pointers, etc?BTW, testing on a Sony PCG-K17 - I've used bootable DVDs before on this machine. And, I'm burning the image with Nero 6.Any more infor needed? Thanks for all your help!!Buster
Alanoll
Since it is almost 4GB, I can't use Virtual PC to test itIncorrect. Mount it using DaemonTools then capture the virtual drive in VirtualPC.Makesure CDIMAGE is actually including the boot sector
Incroyable HULK
First off you should make sure you are using a correct boot image. Download HERENext thing is to make sure that you set theses options correctly in the Boot section of NEROLastly, your boot sequence should put the CD-ROM drive first in the BIOS
Alanoll
Next thing is to make sure that you set theses options correctly in the Boot section of NERO- Point to your Boot image- No Emulation- hex: 07C0- Read Sectors: 4That should be unneeded if the bootsector is already included with the ISO. busterh
Wow...you guys are fast!!Actually, I'm including boot.bin, from nLite and it is showing in the root.Yes, it was created with those settings...I believe that they are the default from Nero. Also, can you use Nero Image Drive to mount and then capture from VPC?Thanks for all your help!Buster
Incroyable HULK
Yep, you can use Nero ImageDrive tooP.S. theses options are not the one by default when creating a boot CD with Nero

Incroyable HULK
Like alanoll said, you should leave the option in Nero by default if you are burning a boot ISO
busterh
Yep...just burning a straight DVD ROM ISO in Nero.Still no boot.
Incroyable HULK
Maybe you should try without CDIMAGE and generate the boot DVD with Nero as I indicated...
