hp01jpc Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 Sorry, as you can tell I'm new to this. What does switchless mean and why we need switchless installers and exe's when we want to make an unattended installation?ThanksJames
hp01jpc Posted November 1, 2004 Author Posted November 1, 2004 Ok, fair enough no replies as yet...Am I right in saying that a switchless installer/exe is just an installer or unpacker for an application that doesn't require any interaction from the user? Basically I want to integrate the installation of my chipset driver into the installation of windows. The drivers come in a 'pack', opened with an exe, and includes lots of other stuff too. When you run the executable, you have to specify where you want everything to be installed to etc.Just wondered if someone could clear that up for me.ThanksJames
Alanoll Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 a switchless installer is an installer that does not need a /silent or /S or -f1 or anything to install it properly without user interaction. For your chipset driver, search.
