missing NTLDR but with removable drive?

well the machine will and won't boot. If the removeable hdd (storage drive,

WD 80GB JJ) is turned on, the main hdd won't boot, with "missing NTLDR" message.

Turn off the removeable hdd and she boots fine...... Now if I put the unattended nLited

cd in the cdr, with the removable hdd turned on, it also boots???? Removeable is made

by Kingwin\Vantec.....

Any help out there?

My guess is that your BIOS setting are causing this...

Options like:

Try other boot devices

Boot sequence or order

Boot Removable Device

USB Devices

USB Legacy support

can affect the way your computer boot

I should make clear the removable hdd is for storage only

there is also a main hdd w\OS on it...
