Did you download the correct language for the patch?
Incroyable HULK
Yep! I even downloaded an English Version just to try (mine is French)...I did the integration into my SP2 without any flaw... the problem is with SP1Maybe I should check how it is integrated in my SP2 CD... Alanoll
the /integrate switch really doesn't do much.It copies the newer files over the old, deletes the old. Then adds itself and it's CAT file to SVCPACK.INF. It's the same process as http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/installhotfixes_old.htmAlso, bear in mind only the most RECENT hotfixes will work, excluding the IE patch I believe as it uses a different install program. Incroyable HULK
well I am usualy adding hotfixes to SVCPACK.INF and copying the hotfixe to my update folder but I decided to try the /integrate: option because KB834707.exe is not working with SVCPACK.INFOh! crap, I took a look at the other 4 hotfixes I succesfully integrated to my CD and I noticed the following:1- Theses 4 hotfixes are in a new folder \I386\svcpack2- My DOSNET.INF now list the 2 folders[OptionalSrcDirs]svcpackUpdate3- theses 4 hotfixes are now listed in my SVCPACK.INF but it changed some parts:[SetupData]CatalogSubDir="\I386\svcpack" *** Originaly \I386\update ***[ProductCatalogsToInstall]KB873376.cat *** New ***KB841356.cat *** New ***KB840987.cat *** New ***KB824151.cat *** New ***KB826939.cat[SetupHotFixesToRun]KB873376.exe /q /n /z *** New ***KB841356.exe /q /n /z *** New ***KB840987.exe /q /n /z *** New ***KB824151.exe /q /n /z *** New ***q823182.exe /Q /O /N /Zq824105.exe /Q /O /N /Zq824141.exe /Q /O /N /Zq825119.exe /Q /O /N /Zq828035.exe /Q /O /N /Zq828741.exe /Q /O /N /Zq835732.exe /Q /O /N /Zq837001.exe /Q /O /N /Zq839645.exe /Q /O /N /Zq840315.exe /Q /O /N /Zq840374.exe /Q /O /N /Zq841873.exe /Q /O /N /Zq842773.exe /Q /O /N /Zq824151.exe /passive /norestart /quietq833987.exe /passive /norestart /quietq834707.exe /passive /norestart /quietq840987.exe /passive /norestart /quietq841356.exe /passive /norestart /quietq841533.exe /passive /norestart /quietq873376.exe /passive /norestart /quietq885626.exe /passive /norestart /quietq814078.exe /Q:A /R:Nq823353.exe /Q:A /R:Nq867801.exe /Q:A /R:Nmm2.exe /Q:A /R:Ndxsetup.exe /silent[CatalogHeader] *** Originaly qchain.exe ***Well, now I'll have to move the content of my update folder to the svcpack folder otherwise it won't work. ****! Incroyable HULK
Well, i've made my decision.I've decided that I won't /integrate: any hotfixes into my Unattended Win2000 and WinXP SP1 installation. I'll just call them with SVCPACK.INF or a Batch File.I don't know yet how I will solve the KB834707 issue but I'll try to find a way...I will however /integrate: the hotfixes into my WinXP SP2 CD.Cheers!
