I've been using the /S switch for quite some time, but it no longer works with the newest AOL 9 'Security' edition.

I really dislike the AOL software, and the newest edition is far worse than those before it, but, family and friends use it, so I have it in my unattended install collection. Ugh!

yeah i also know too many people still using AOL. You wouldnt believe the people that pay for broadband from the ISP, and pay for AOL for Broadband, its one of the stupidest things I will ever see. :realmad:

The are a number of things I try to convince people with AOL not to install/use it, but this seems to be the most important:

** The main thing that keeps people on AOL is the email, there are alternative ways to get your aol email, the best is IMO by using IMAP in Outlook. All your mail in one place, no need to install AOL.

@DigeratiPrime

I agree with you wholeheartedly. I also try to convince people not to use AOL. The most crashes and freeze ups I ever had on my computer is when I had AOL. Isn't that a shock!!!
