Geek who sometimes needs a bit extra help

My names XS, and I'm a compute-aholic... err... wait. Wrong type of introduction...

I am what most people would slap around with a big sign that said "nerd." And it's true, I don't get out much... I love my computer(s).

I've been working on PCs since 1993 when I started tweaking DOS to get my favorite game to work... anyone remember X-Wing? I was in 3rd grade then, but I easily made Win3.1 my slave. Now I'm in college and I've beat every MS OS (aside from NT and 2K) to my will.

Occasionally I'll run into a road block and have to seek some outside advice, but such problems are rare. Hell, the only reason I signed up for this forum is to get info on some unattended install topics that aren't covered in other posts... that, and I'm bored. Very, very bored.

So ask me pretty much anything. But beware I will call you a freaking id*** if you say "I have an Intel..." because Intel stopped being the way to go after the P1.

Yeah, I know... People get a bit upset when I tell them my 1GHz Athalon smokes their 3.2GHz P4. :P But I was joking with that part anyway.

But it wasn't just AMD vs Intel, it's 'any good name brand' vs Intel. The past few years they've been putting out some ultra buggy stuff.
