mrmr Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 hallomy unattended/nlited windows is almost at the end, btw i've got still a problem.Says that i change my Administrator accout to another name, says "pippo".Now, i need specific Shortcut only for pippo, different from what there're "$OEM$\$Docs\Default User"...so, i've added to my "$OEM$\$Docs"the "pippo" directory and i've added there my Shortcuts. It doesn't work...at the end of installation i've a new homedir for pippo: D:\Documents and Settings\pippo (The one i have created) [empty dir, only stuff onto "$OEM$\$Docs\pippo"] D:\Documents and Settings\pippo.COMPUTER_NAME (Created by Installation) [all the "normal" stuff for newly created accounts]So, i've tried to add an "Administrator" dir to "$OEM$\$Docs"...infact, my pippo user, really, was predefined Administrator, but now i've: D:\Documents and Settings\Administrator (The one i have created) [empty dir, only stuff onto "$OEM$\$Docs\Administrator"]D:\Documents and Settings\pippo (Created by Installation) [all the "normal" stuff for newly created accounts]So, someone know a turnaround?thank youmrmr
MHz Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 If you only have 1 shortcut. You could use the copy command to copy from source to your desired location, after your account has been created.
mrmr Posted October 21, 2004 Author Posted October 21, 2004 yeah...i was thinking of that...btw, the problem could be more&more great for someone else...so i've asked here! mrmr
Yzöwl Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 You can create the shortcut using an inf run from runonceex.cmdFor a template file Read this reply, and for a smaller more concise example look at this reply!
