Installing opera7 + settings silent of guirunonce

Featured Replies

When installin opera 7.23 unattended of [guirunonce] command;

start /wait %cdrom%\applications\ow32fien723.exe /s

opera install´s configuration files in C:documents and settings\gg\applications data\opera\opera7\profile\

now when installin regular by clicking the exe file then during install setup ask if installing for all users or same for all. if select same, then conf files are located in C:program files\opera7

is there any way to silent install opera that it´s installed for every user in same? or is there some other way to do this??

i´d like to install configurations for opera unattended install too

sorry my eglish isn´t so good

edit: i have in my winnt.sif the following

[GuiRunOnce]

%systemdrive%\install\batch.cmd

and in batch.cmd i have;

start /wait %cdrom%\applications\ow32fien723.exe /s

instead of running it @ GuiRunOnce run it via cmdlines.txt :)

also, your opera version is old :P 7.54 is the latest stable, 7.60 is the latest beta

opera config is like u said in %programfiles%\opera its called something like opera.ini i forget the exact name, just look inside it

put it in $OEM$\$Progs\Opera

I think he means during the install it defaults to multi-user profiles instead of one profile for all users.

I try that! what line i need in my cmdlines.txt that it runs the batch file located $oem$\$1\install\batch.cmd ?

Is this correct?

It does not work! is there somethin wrong in my cmdlines.txt?

I made line "batch.cmd" in cmdlines.txt and copy batch.cmd in $oem$ folder and got it installed :)

It still installs configuration files in C:documents and settings\gg\application data\opera\opera7\profile

First register u key then in C:\Program Files\Opera a file called OUsr600.dat is created thsi is your serial :) so unnatended i use a SFX to extract it into the oper folder after install

heres the cooment if u need it

;The comment below contains SFX script commands

Path=C:\Program Files\Opera

SavePath

Silent=1

Overwrite=1

is it safe to use that file from opera 8 and copy it into a opera 7 folder or wil that stuff it up

i would assume it'd work, try it & find out, if it doesnt work, remove it :P
