ran Posted October 29, 2004 Posted October 29, 2004 You know, I'm thinking it may not be as bad as we think...Keep in mind that the dll cache does not contain *all* the dll files that windows uses...so, could we be prompted for this simply because it can't find the copy in the dllcache?

TheRealMethusela Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 Make sure you are not using the Registry key to unload cached .dll's because when Windows File Protection checks it has to load them.ie: Files that are required for Windows to run properly must be copied to the DLL CacheInsert your Windows XP Professional CD-ROM now.
