gamehead200 Posted September 21, 2002 Posted September 21, 2002 Hello everyone! Maybe someone has already had this problem. I just got my router setup so that my Internet Connection is always connected on all of my computers. The problem is, is that I want to share files and my printer through it, but I don't want to use the network setup wizard in XP, because if I do, I would have to have my computer connecting to the net instead of my router and it will always have to be connected for other computers to access the Internet...What should I do?PS: I am using a Linksys Etherfast DSL/Cable Router.
LS_Dragons Posted September 21, 2002 Posted September 21, 2002 Actually, you can use the network setup wizard - and just tell it you connect through a LAN and get your IP address automatically. If you don't want to do that - just make sure all computers are in the same WORKGROUP and then anable file and printer sharing. Then share the drives and printer and ta-da --- you are done.LS_Dragons
