jsposato Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 If I wanted to add a shortcut to the ALL USERS desktop, would I put it in $oem\$docs\all users\desktop?
SiMoNsAyS Posted October 14, 2004 Posted October 14, 2004 If I wanted to add a shortcut to the ALL USERS desktop, would I put it in $oem\$docs\all users\desktop?try it probably it won't be a problem but when you use an existing username for example "$oem\$docs\username\desktop" the dir will be renamed to "\username.userdomain\desktop". this is because windows installation find a dir with the same name and to prevent overwrittes it's renamed.the last time i test it the "all users" dir wasn't renamed but it's safer (and i recommend) to build a new rar-sfx archive that silently extract your shortcuts to "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\desktop".
