DigeratiPrime Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 I use DEL "%systemroot%\system32\ss*.scr"to delete the old screensavers, and they do dissapear from system32, but they are magically regenerated a few seconds later. How can I get rid of these old screensavers?
DigeratiPrime Posted October 13, 2004 Author Posted October 13, 2004 ok I had the cd in the drive so it was automatically "recovering" them. I took the cd out and tried again and the Windows File Protection came up. But I thought that was disabled by nLite? I would tell nLite to just erase them, but it erases all of the screensaves. I only want to get rid of the ones that begin with "ss" like ss3dfssbezierssbezieretc
MCT Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 put the 1's u want in the "keep" section of nlite (thats what its there 4)
DigeratiPrime Posted October 13, 2004 Author Posted October 13, 2004 omg genious. I gotta slow down and take a look at nlite again, and stop doing this at 3am ty
donvito62 Posted January 24, 2005 Posted January 24, 2005 You Have To Delete Them From Your Hidden File dllcache At The Same Time You Delete Them From System32Or Disable windows file protection
