Some problems with RunOnceEx

Hi guys,

i'm having some problems with apps install using runonceex.cmd..

the first one is that XCOPY command - just don't copy! no error massage no nothing - just not copying any file ! and i got cmdow.exe file in $$\System32 folder.

the 2nd one is with Nero 6.6.0.0 i followed simonsays thread here

and i tried installing with switches , but in the 2 ways i get the same error massage saying :

An error accured during the copy proccess (file name.)
Error : 3
can't find the path specified

but notice - it installs some components and then stops with this error massage.

the 3rd one is with SunJava 5.0 - it just don't install. again no error massage no nothing just don't install itself.

4th one and the last one - when installing winamp 5.05 using the msi and allanol instructions (i think its allanol), winamp don't install - its poping up an installer help window with silent switches ..

Hi Adiel,

i have just checked your winamp line and when it goes into registry it is as

"C:\Install\Applications\Winamp Pro v5.05\Winamp.msi" /qn Xname=WiNAMP Xkey=XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX XMODERNSKIN=1 XSkinsetting-MMD3 Xaudio=1 " /f

which to me it looks like one " too many, the one directly behind Winamp.msi.

as i gather they have to be in pairs if at all.

my Winamp goes in as

REG ADD %KEY%\055 /VE /D "WinAmp 5.05" /f
REG ADD %KEY%\055 /V 1 /D "%CDROM%\Install\winamp\winamp.msi /qb INI=%CDROM%\Install\winamp\setup.ini" /f

the registry shows

D:\Install\winamp\winamp.msi /qb INI=\Install\winamp\setup.ini

your best bet to check them is to add each line to a seperate cmd file and check the registry to see if they are there and what it says.

i did it like this

saved it as start.cmd and started it. dont forget to delete the entry in the registry or next start it will try and install

this one does not look right either the two " in the wrong place maybe.

i found most of my settings by trial and error.

sorry that i cant tell you exactly what the setting are but maybe this will help.

ok , about the winamp - how can i find the KEY later? in which section of regedit?

can u plz give me exact path? (if u know it)

and about the one " too many behind the winamp.msi, where do u see a " behind it? or do u mean the

"\"%systemdrive\

?

the full path is in the RunOnceEX.cmd file

HKLM = HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE

try something like this

is the Xskinsetting-MMD3 correct?

try this for Nero it works for me.

with installing wmp10 silent and saw this list of the runonceex and

tryed its line for wmp10. works perfect and i just want to say thanks, adiel!!!!
