neophyte Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 If I recall correctly, you cannot change %userprofile%.
kenedy Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 is it HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\S-1-5-21-1229272821-1383384898-725345543-500\ProfileImagePathYes, this is the right place to change path to profile.
neophyte Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 It may be the correct place, but what about the next time he installs Windows XP?SID Values, such as the one there, are random numbers, and change with each installation. He will need to create a .bat/.cmd script that detects the correct value for him.
