The kind of connection you would create by going into Network and Dial-up Connections, clicking on Make New Connection, and choosing Dial-up to the Internet. How would I script that? Thanks
jdoe
Forget about a script for that and use this "Importing Dial-Up Settings" tutorial.http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/restore_dialup.htmI'm not sure it work on Windows 2000Maybe someone can confirm it work for XP and 2k
mniccum
That will work great except for the fact that the modem isn't the same on every box. I think I can use win32_potsmodem to find the installed modem name and plug it into the rasphone.pbk after it gets copied over.I think I can open the rasphone.pbk and search and replace these lines with the modem name:preferreddevice = device = Thanks for the info
ramik
in my case, with windows xp, the file was copied read-only, and didn't show the connections in "My Network Places" properties, where usualy i can see the connections in groups (broadband, dial-up, etc).
