My version of Windows XP Pro has service pack 1a. When I tried to slipstream it with SP2 it had an error. Would someone mind helping me please?

Most likely you have some hotfixes integrated into your cd. Look in the I386 folder, and remove the svcpack folder, and svcpack.inf/svcpack.in_ files. If there is no svcpack folder, look in svcpack.inf to see where the directory is, and remove it.

After its gone, give it a try.
