RBCC Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 How do I use gdisk to preformat an unattended installation then install XP into the formatted disks? Also How can I run a disk defrag on bootup of windows in a unattended install? Can I partition and format my HD inside the Windows XP Setup? Such as C:\ -8G D:\-5G E:\1G F:\1.5 G:\1.0 H:.5G
edg21 Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 I would suggest using WinPE/BartPE and just running your partition & format commands before copying cabs to the hdd. You could then use diskpart & format to do what you want. I have gdisk, but haven't played with it much yet.here are some gdisk links though:Introduction to Gdisk:http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ghost...98081911285525/Gdisk Switches:http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ghost...=&osv=&osv_lvl=
RBCC Posted October 7, 2004 Author Posted October 7, 2004 Where do you put this on disk and in the batch file? How do I do this before I setup Windows?
