Bâshrat the Sneaky
Is this an abstract example or do you really have those two controllers?
buletov
how will windows xp know to load the right driver if it has the same hardware id's for both?????????????it will work...except it maybe won't work in optimal way... but it will probably be unnoticable
turbomcp
yesi have 2 computers both asus boardsone uses viaraid.sys the other uses viasraid.sysi checked the device id's and its the same as viamraid so does that mean i have to add those drivers too to windows(txtsetup.sif,\i386 and driverz.exe)or just use the viamraid(or any other driver from via with same device id)i dont think windows is that smart to "know" what the right and optimal driver is for every controller if it has multiple drivers with same device id
