troycicle Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 I've been looking a long time, and I can't find a registry tweak where all icons on the desktop are auto arranged. Is this even possible?
maxXPsoft Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 I think I answered this already somewhereThat's a dll call and impossibleat the moment, but who know's maybe someone will come up with something.
SiMoNsAyS Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 this had been treated before, i've got the key ;enable auto arrange and sort by type[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\Bags\1\Desktop]"FFlags"=dword:00000221"Sort"=dword:00000002but import it from cmdlines.txt doesn't work i guess the user must be logged
maxXPsoft Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 k thanks SiMoNsAySI don't do the auto arrange cause I like my messy desk but maybe i was thinking of something else. Anyway's maybe you helped him, that's the key

maxXPsoft Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 kdarn done added to my Tweak app hope you find the solution...oh well I can remove cause i was pretty sure it was a dll call but i been wrong before and love to find the truth. That's one of those thing's i messed with for day's on endpadre if you a tweaker then check this out and see what you thinkhttp://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=28003I can use tweaker's
SiMoNsAyS Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 i did search for a few minutes but i can't find what was explained there.if i remember well, that regkey worked if you logged off and back on but i can't remember the issues with it. i can point you to PM the guy who found it: @jrzycrim maybe he can help you (anyway i doubt if it can be integrated on an unattended installation if it's your purpose)
maxXPsoft Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Unattended was'nt my intentionI studied this as I've said and I couldn't get it to apply. I'm working on the dll call's though, they are a mystery by themselve's.
troycicle Posted September 20, 2004 Author Posted September 20, 2004 SiMoNsAyS, that registry tweak didn't work. I'm thinking about making a script that will just right click on the desktop, and select auto arrange. That will work.
troycicle Posted September 21, 2004 Author Posted September 21, 2004 If anyone needs a auto arrange script, just e-mail me at Troycicle@aol.com. I have one all made. It works great!

troycicle Posted September 21, 2004 Author Posted September 21, 2004 You can get it here:http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?act=ST&f=70&t=28238I also made a script to eject my cd after installation. It works when I'm on my desktop, but it doesn't work when I try using it in WPI when running Vmware. Do you have any idea why?
