convict
Well after extensive searching I am still unable to find a place to get the best timing for my RAM and motherboard. I'm really not running into problems and I really don't want to OC just yet but I would like to see if my timings are correct.I'm running a p4 2.8 prescott, asus p4s800, 512mb stick of corsair xms pc3200 (400mhz), ati 9600 256mb.My latency settings for my ram are set at 2.5-3-3-7 That latency is when I set it to auto. It's the standard latency for my stick of RAM.If anyone knows a place to get timing settings for my motherboard or knows it themselves I would appreciate if you would share the info with me. For the specs I have it just seems to be running a bit sluggish. Benchmarks are not giving me what I expected.Granted I have lowered the latency and got higher benchmark scores (of course) but I would rather have the timings that work the best with my motherboard and ram combo. buletov
lower timings - beter performance, more stress on the componentsthis is the reason why everyone is suggesting a brand name memorycheck the default values for your memory, and the lower every valuedown by one step. this should give you better performace whileretaining the overall stability of your computer, and pariculary memory.
