MSN Messenger 6.2 Problem

Hi all. I recently have a problem with my MSN Messenger 6.2

Well its not a new problem but i started to have this bug for a couple of weeks already..

my display picture function is gone! so i can no longer see my friends' display pic but i can see and change mine...

i've tried uninstalling msn messenger by typing the following in "Run"

"RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove"

but it didnt work.

i've tried uninstalling msn messenger in Add/Remove in control panel and reinstall..but didnt work..

so anyone here has the same problem? i've tried installing different versions of messenger, e.g. UK version, America version, Chinese version... all are the same...any clue?

Did you delete the folder of C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger after you uninstalled MSN Messenger?

If so, do that, because you said...

i tried. but it dint work..still no dp shows up..

i had that problem, uninstall it, check c:\program files\msn messenger and if it exists delete that too. Also delete your accounts folder c:\documents and settings\Your username here\msn account here\

that should fix it. and oh yeah after that, install it again

oh wellz..i duno which folder does "msn account here" stand for..cant find one which looks right.. :S thanqs
