Lightbringer- Posted September 14, 2004 Posted September 14, 2004 Is it necessary that I have Windows XP SP1 to make a bootable CD or can I do one without the SP1 upgrade?Help will be appreciated.Also will a bart PE CD work on other systems not equipped with WindowsXP??How does it go about installing device drivers?
P51D Mustang Posted September 16, 2004 Posted September 16, 2004 You will need to slipstream SP1.See Bart's PE page for more info.The PE CD runs in memory and from the CD. I've used it to clean Win98 (blecccch!), win2k, and WinXP installs. It's a very good tool to have
