Lightbringer- Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Sorry if I wrongly posted this topic there....I dont see where I can post it How can you remove Windows98 from a dual booting computer that either loads Win98 or WinXP?
mazin Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 The only way I know:- Delete all 98 folders manually. This includes: Windows, Program Files, My Documents, and any other folders you installed.- Edit your boot.ini to delete the reference line of 98.
Lightbringer- Posted September 13, 2004 Author Posted September 13, 2004 Thanks. This is the same info that at got at microsoft sites....Except taht in my boot.ini, aprat from the XP OS I dont see any reference to the Windows 98 OS =)
