sysparse.exe? What is this tool for?

Hi,

ive look around my i368 folder and find a file called sysparse.exe!

Could somebody explain me, what this tool does?

Ive found nothing on MS KB and nothing good on google...

I'm not really sure but I would say that this file is needed for upgrading a previous version of Windows.

If you look at the file properties you will find this "Enumerates and records installed hardware and application data" and it seems to be needed by winnt32.exe

If you ask this questions for removing this file then I can say that this file is not on my XP CD for a clean install. You can remove it without any modifications to dosnet.inf or txtsetup.sif.
