Latta Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 I am using Cisco Aironet Utility to connect to my ISP on my desktop PC. I want to add a router to the system to enable me to communicate with my laptop. I would be using a WAP54G router. I am being told that I will need a bridge to complete this system. I would appreciate any information on this or direction to where I can find it.Thanks, Jack
sven Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 it depends, if your wireless router has 4 ports on it, then you put it neir your desktop and just plug it in like a regular router. if your access point if somewhere else in the house (basement, closet, who knows) away from your pc, then you need a bridge to connect them... but your wireless router should have 4 ports on it, and you just put it close to your desktop pc, and conect it. your internet has to go thru the router, if its a modem, just conect it to the wan port on the routerits all relative to where you put it
