Tel Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 I have got Terminal services set up for our users, but they tend to forget to log off. Instead they simple close the session, therefore clogging up the sessions and they confuse themselves when they log back on when it gives them the option of which session they want. What was mentioned in an earlier topic was to create a desktop wallpaper that reminded them to log off. I thought this was an excellent idea, so I designed a background I am now attempting to apply to the Group Policy so that the wallpaper appears when the users log on.Where is the setting?!!?What I have found so far is the settings for the Active Desktop. There is an option there to set the Active Desktop background, but that doesn't seem to be working. Is there no other way to set the background to appear when the users log on?
MadGutts Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 Is it NT4 Terminal Server? or 2k Terminal server? If you set the main screen on the server in 2000 then it should apply to the rest of the screens... HOWEVER if the TS connection is too low, the background may not show properly - if at all. I would automatic message when they log in reminding them to log off and then create the link to the logoff.exe file.
