XL-DJK Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 really? what version no. is it? if it's v.9 , then It's old news
Astalavista Posted September 4, 2004 Author Posted September 4, 2004 it is not old news. the difference in file size of the winzip 9 SR-1 old and new is 400 kb. but if you insist
Bilou_Gateux Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 It's the worst existing compression utility on the market. Why give it's money to Winzip Computing when there are freeware quite as effective?you can try TUGZip - the free Archiving Utilitywith the same functions as the worst and more but freeware. My favourite is iceows for explorer integration without an external program. And 7zip for highest compression ratio in new 7z format. And if you want to buy a compression utility :WinRAR... All-in-one
Professor Frink Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Well, my office has an enterprise license, so I might as well install it. FYI -- the unattended installation method for 9.0 works exactly the same with 9.0 SR-1.
