1boredguy Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I've replaced the LOGONUI.EX_ and the Luna theme (with Media Center Style: Royal). And now...- When I select the "default" selection for "visual style" or "themes", in Style XP, there is an unexpected error, and Style XP closes... (I can, however, choose any theme within "desktop properties > themes".- When I apply any different logon screen (with Style XP), I get "parser message: Value creation failed ' at line 34." (a little popup with "OK") This pops up multiple times, over and over, when loading the Logon Screen.Has anyone else experienced this? What can I do?
SiMoNsAyS Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 it's probably that you've replaced your logonui.exe original file in sp2 with 1 from sp1 that are not compatible. i guess the stylexp error it's just a colateral damage of the problem with logonui.exe.you'll solve the problem replacing your custom logon file with the default one of your current version of xp.about the "value creation failed..." it's an error of logonui, some variables used in the old sp1 logon now don't work with sp2.
