Accepting VPN Connections

Hi there.

I am trying to setup a VPN server using either a 2003 server or my personal XP machine.

I am doing everything by the book and the VPN servers on both machines accept clients from within the LAN with no problems.

However, whenever I try to set up a connection over the internet – I get error 721.

I verified that the internet computer IS reaching MY server (netstat) and I can see that the internet computer is verifying name and password. But that’s as far as it goes. Never passed the verifying name and password stage.

Firewall is open on port 1723 and forwarded onto the VPN server.

I don’t understand.

Is there anything I am forgetting??

What kind of authentication are you using on that VPN server?
