Unless you need to slipstream patches (MSPs), you don't need to do admin install.

But, you can customize your installation using setup.ini along with setup.exe.

Then, there's one attempt. I suggest you run the MSI like this:

publisher.msi /QB PIDKEY=xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx

Just slipstreamed sp3 into publisher but just wandering how to incorporate the serial no like office? Now I have setup.exe in the Publisher dir.

If you slipstreamed patches, then you've done AIP. So, you can't use setup.ini. Instead, you use the MST you've created, supposedly.

Yeah sorry it saved to C:Publisher I was looking in the orig dir where I slipstreamed it. Working fine now.Anyway would this be fine to install unattended:

ECHO Installing Microsoft Publisher XP SP2

start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\pubxp\setup.exe /q
