gigabitfx Posted August 27, 2004 Posted August 27, 2004 hello all.im trying to setup a web site and having troubles getting to it via the internet, but works fine on local lan. i have a public ip address on the router and am doing port forwarding of port 80 to my iis box. ive also tryed port forwarding a port other than 80 and configured teh website to use that port, but still can only access the site on local lan.it the midst of troubleshooting the problem i dont have the website using any hostheader, and ive got it using all ip addresses on the box.im thinking its some kind of routing problem, but i can forward other ports for other services and the services work fine.the only way i can get it to work is when i assign the iis box the public ip address, but i would like to not do that for obvious reasons.
CoffeeFiend Posted August 29, 2004 Posted August 29, 2004 Weird. Just installing IIS6 and forwarding port 80 traffic to the proper Private IP worked fine for me.You must have changed something, like deleted the IUSR_ account or something...
