Doom 3 INstallation Problem! Driving me NUTS

hi new to this forum

basically this is what has happened. i install the game insert disk 1 and everything is fine. then it asks for disk 2 i insert it in and click ok but it asks for it again.

i cant get past this **** stage. the file its transferring during this period is the 0000.pk4 file (or something like that ). Anyway no error message comes up its just that it keeps on asking me for the second cd when i have it already in the drive, and dosent allow me to pass that stage.

ive used 2 different drives and its the same problem. dont know what to do. could it be that the cd withing is corrupt cause it dosent look scratched to me. as in is the data in the cd corrupt. should i replace it? any suggestion will be appreciated

I'd take it back to the store and get another copy.

if you try getting a new copy and it still doesn't work... try copying the file manually too the harddrive.. IF you can select where the file is... had that problem with an older game and just did that and it worked.. it sucks that i had too do it everytime but its not that hard too do.
