brightcow Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 I merged the SP2 patch into the original XP CD, seems the cmpnents\netfx folder is for DotNet framework, I created the Winnt.sif, everything is fine, but the DotNet is not installed Is this same for you? or I did something wrong
Lucius Snow Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 I merged the SP2 patch into the original XP CD, seems the cmpnents\netfx folder is for DotNet framework, I created the Winnt.sif, everything is fine, but the DotNet is not installed Is this same for you? or I did something wrong It's not installed by default. You have to do it separately. I put the install in $OEM$\$1\Apps\dotnet and ran it from a BATCH through the following command line :start /wait %systemdrive%\Apps\dotnet\install.exe /q
brightcow Posted August 25, 2004 Author Posted August 25, 2004 Thanks, Lucius Snow.I did so with SP1 and have to do now
lordchariot Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 As far as I can tell, the .dot that is in the cmpnents directory is NOT 1.1 framework. If you compare the properties of the files, they are all versioned at 1.0.x including the ones in \i386\netfx*.*Looking at an extracted netfx1.cab from the redistributable, the files are labeled 1.1.xI'm not quite sure what the use of the cmpnents is, but there is a vague reference to it on http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechn...y/sitpcdep.mspxI'd love to have the real 1.1 framework slipstreamed in too, instead of having to run it at the end. (but too much effort)Anyone know why 1.0 version is there? is it only for tabletPC?
