Open Messenger main Window when messenger starts

For those that auto-install MSN Messenger, I have written this registry tweak which stops it from setting 'Open Messenger main Window when messenger starts' on by default.

Turn off 'show Main Window'

REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger]
"AppSettings"=hex:08,93,01,80

Turn on 'show main window'

REGEDIT4
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger]
"AppSettings"=hex:28,93,01,80

I notice you have

REGEDIT4

written as first line, and so think that you did this on a none WindowsXP or 2k as they use

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

So, does it work on 2k and XP? before i try when get home.

REGEDIT4 works on *both* NT + 9x, 'Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00' only works on XP / 2K. So I opt to use REGEDIT4
