VAPrince Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 I am having a problem installing Windows Service Pack 2. I have automatic Updates on but in my taskbar it has the automatic updates icon but it says "Downloading Updates 0%" and it stays that way no matter how long im on the computer. Is there n e thing i can do about this?~VA
Marsden Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 No... There is nothing you can do. Patience... you will eventually get SP2...
gabriel_buc Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 Yep ... As Drewdatrip says try to get the full administrative install. Anyway if you plan to reinstall Win you won't have to go to AU again.
Tel Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 Do you by any chance have a 56k connection, VAPrince? because that could be the reason the update is taking so long. SP2 is 270MB in size after all.
Marsden Posted August 20, 2004 Posted August 20, 2004 Not really... the Express installer is 1.6 Megs and the "package" you get varies on how current your patched SP1a was or is. The 270 MBs only applies to the Network Install Package...
