ralexand88 Posted August 18, 2004 Posted August 18, 2004 I see a couple of different way people are installing drivers for these devices. What is the advantage of not just pointing the install right to the WDM director for the audigy drivers. Or just extracting the nvidia drivers to a folder and pointing to is?
ralexand88 Posted August 19, 2004 Author Posted August 19, 2004 Wow, no answers. Must be terribly confusing.
Bâshrat the Sneaky Posted August 19, 2004 Posted August 19, 2004 What the advantage is? Versus what other method? When we install drivers this way, they will only get installed when the required hardware is there. If we silently install the _packages_, it will also get installed on systems where this hardware is not present.I hope this was your question...EDIT: to get the Audidgy's control panel installed, please see the topic about it in the Device Drivers forum.
ralexand88 Posted August 19, 2004 Author Posted August 19, 2004 I quess that's my problem. Ive always only installed the drivers. What's up with the audigy drivers?

What's up with the audigy control panel? Why double post? The audigy's control panel is (correction: was) quite difficult to get installed, as it wasn't installed through the driver's inf file. Now that's solved with a small batch!grtz
